Nelly Belly Speaking at 2025 Catersource National Catering Convention
We’re thrilled to share some big news from the Nelly Belly team—we’ve been invited to speak at the 2025 Catersource National Catering Convention in Fort Lauderdale!
As one of the largest gatherings in the catering and events industry, Catersource Magazine’s annual conference brings together top professionals from across the country to share best practices, new trends, and real-world experience. And this year, Nelly Belly will be right at the center of it.
Owners Melissa and Mark Nelson will take the stage on February 26th from 1:00–1:30 p.m. to present a high-impact Fast Chat session titled “Tired of Loading Equipment? Try Mobile Food Truck Catering!”
The session will explore the benefits of food truck catering compared to traditional catering models—something Melissa and Mark know firsthand. After decades of managing large banquet facilities, golf course kitchens, and marina events, the Nelsons shifted gears and launched Nelly Belly, a mobile catering powerhouse known for its wood-fired pizzas, piadinas, and more.
Sharing Food Truck Expertise at National Catering Convention
What started as a side hustle turned into a full-fledged business transformation—and now, they’re sharing that journey with the national catering community. This speaking opportunity places Nelly Belly among an elite group of industry thought leaders who are shaping the future of food service.
In their Fast Chat session, they’ll cover:
- Why food truck catering is often more efficient, profitable, and fun
- How to streamline your operation with mobile kitchens
- The unexpected challenges (and wins!) of making the shift from banquet halls to wheels
As Nelly Belly continues to grow, so does their mission: to bring fast, fresh, and unforgettable meals to events all across Northeast Ohio—and to inspire others to do the same. If you’re attending Catersource in February, we hope you’ll join us in Fort Lauderdale!
